Entry for the Queen of Hearts Quietfire Creations competition

I have created this card as my entry into the Quiet fire creations Queen of hearts blog hop and challenge. Unfortunately I had to photograph my card on one of the worst wet weather  days we have had for six months so please excuse the slightly yellow tone on some of the flowers which were actually a creamy white, so please be kind as this is my first ever competition entry.
I started with a pale aqua card stock for my card base. I ran a piece of my minds eye the sweetest thing DSP through a spellbinder M Bossabilities Hearts embossing folder, using the A design and enhanced the hearts with Encore aqua ink this was then matted in white and attached to card base . Paper ribbon made with Martha Stewart single edge punch, embellished with pearls added to right hand side. I stamped with Encore aqua ink and fussy cut two hearts (unknown brand) one on white and one on dark aqua card stock. Stamped the Quietfire creations "from the heart thank you" sentiment with Versa mark ink and heat embossed with Zing teal embossing powder on the white heart. These were raised up with foam dots. I attached flat back pearls to various mulberry paper flowers, and added a flourish die cut by Cheery Lyn. Hand made an organza double bow, embellished with sparkly rhinestone and finished with a stick pin. Insert (pictured below) made with Couture creations Venus crest embossing folder. Good luck to all the other entrants and TFL

My very first post

Hi, my name is Carole and I created this blog to share my creations with anyone who would like to look. It is also another way to keep a photographic record for my own information. I am slightly obsessed with card making however, I intend to stretch myself to think out of the box in the near future and have a dabble in altered art. No promises about when this will happen but it will happen.
